Open source! affordable, diy, commuter vehicle
This project has launched!
This commuter vehicle is built around a golf cart and off the shelf components. Constructed with a tube chassis and sheet metal body work. This vehicle is cost effective, fuel efficient and easy to build. Comes with AC, heat, storage and 75mph top speed. Designed to fit 1 person and travel up to 150 miles on one tank. Full suspension and interior make for a comfortable ride. The driver is safely surrounded by steel tubing and protected from the elements.
We are already building the first one! Parts have arrived and the 3d model is mostly completed. We have the donor golf cart cut apart and materials are here for the frame and body. Construction begins in a few days! In next few months the prototype will come together. Don’t miss our build videos! Follow us on social media to follow along.
Fully enclosed commuter vehicles have struggled to gain traction. But we have always wanted one. So instead of waiting for the large manufactures to make them. We decided we would just make it.
