Subaru race car

Sadly this project has ended. We got stuck on the electronics and body work. It was too much for us and we had to let it go. We listed the project on FaceBook Market place on 9/17/2023 and sold it on 9/25/2023 for $2250. The lucky buyer promised to get the car running then take us for a test drive when it’s done. A sad ending but every cloud has a silver lining. we learned a lot from this project, and we have a whole new perspective on cheap high performance race car design. We will revisit this project down the road I promise. In that short week this project was listed, over 4800 people saw the listing and dozens of people contacted me about it. It was clear, lots of people would love an affordable little race car that rips. And one day hopefully not to long from now we can try again to deliver on that dream.

This car took 6 years to bring to life. This year it will be completed. Its a race car for any budget. Built around a Subaru WRX engine and transmission. It’s sol purpose in life is to set some fast laps at rock bottom prices.

The chassis is custom designed and built by us as well as the body work. Speaking of which the body design is not yet done. When we have the concepts finalized we will let you decide which body you want us to build. Look for a face book pole in the near future. This is a Kit Car and it is intended to compete with the Factory Five 818 Kit car. No ours won’t be street legal, yet. But on the track it will be unstoppable. This is a DIY race car kit. Every part and design decision was centered around fast laps and low prices. Every component on this car can be purchased new or used with many alternatives available. This build is estimated to cost the end user between 15-25K$. But if you are a good ebay buyer or scrap yard digger, then its not hard to get the job done for far less.

Frame and body work is going to be provided by us. We will include our parts selection for you to reference. But you can easily go your own way and choose the parts you want for price or performance reasons.

Utilizing the Subaru WRX Impreza was the basis for the build. But room was provided for fitting a v8 of your choice. Transmissions are easily available for any budget. If your like us and want to get on the track for a low price then stick with the Subaru parts as much as possible. But if you want the fastest thing you can imagine….. Car meets Global Time Attack rules and SCCA auto cross SOLO race rules. This car fits in the Pro Comp Class for Global Time Attack and Unlimited Mod class for SCCA Auto Cross. We know racing well and will compete with this car our selves. If you want to go racing in other classes. Send us a message we can accommodate most any race league rules. Other wise you will be the fastest track day guy or gal out there.
